Meet Michael Nelson, Your Southeast Michigan Real Estate Photographer

Founder and photographer behind Mike’s Reflections. 15+ years photographing homes and commercial properties throughout Metro Detroit.

How It Started

I picked up a camera as a hobby more than 15 years ago. I took classes, learned my equipment inside and out, and the hobby turned into a business I still love showing up for every day.

Since then, I’ve photographed thousands of homes across Metro Detroit and worked alongside more than 100 real estate agents and homeowners. When I started, almost nobody specialized in real estate photography full-time. Now new photographers show up every year. That’s exactly why I’ve stayed focused on the same things: sharp, consistent images and a process agents can count on, shoot after shoot.

Real estate agents run a business of their own, and the photos I deliver are one piece of that. I take that seriously — every listing gets the same level of care, whether it’s a starter home or a waterfront estate.
